Tony Hoang grew up in poverty within the drug capital of Australia, where he joined one of the most notorious crime gangs at just 13. During this time he faced the harsh realities of losing friends to a drug overdose, watching friends go to jail and dealing drugs himself. Having since rejected the drug culture, a decade on he chooses to share his hardships to help people break free from the same destructive cycle he was once trapped in and teaches young people to steer clear from drugs.

D Minor drew upon his turbulent home life and experiences on the streets to write his first hit song Concrete Pillow to raise awareness about homelessness.
